Welcome to the JFS Blog!

As a nonprofit social services agency, we’re here to provide vital programs to all members of the community, regardless of background.  We strive to be responsive and dynamic as we focus on the most pressing needs of the community – food insecurity, job training, immigration, senior services, Holocaust survivor services, mental health counseling, and more.  

In 2019, we celebrated our golden anniversary, and we’ve come a long way since our humble founding in 1969.  Jewish Family Services grew from a small group that helped mainly the Jewish population in Northern Middlesex County to a countywide organization serving more than 25,000 people from all backgrounds.  Now that we are entering a new decade in a rapidly changing world, JFS is excited to unveil our new website and Blog.  Our goal is to be better connected to our wider community and provide the most up-to-date information about our programs.  

In an increasingly virtual world, we want to remind you that our impact is quite real!  Here in our Blog, we will share the remarkable stories of our clients, showcase the hard work of our staff, and honor those whose selfless giving empowers JFS and the people we serve.
