Helping New Jerseyans on Their Path to Citizenship

Thank you to everyone in attendance! Especially: On March 18th, JFS Immigration & Citizenship Services staff and volunteers participated in NALEO’s Free Citizenship Application Assistance event at the Elizabeth Public Library. The event provided NJ residents with a range of services, including legal consultations, assistance with Citizenship applications and support with other immigration-related issues. Applying for Citizenship can be costly, especially when legal services are included.

This event was made possible through the collaboration of four agencies: the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), Make the Road NJ, Elizabeth Public Library and JFS Immigration & Citizenship Services, all of whom provided vital support to 22 individuals who were able to complete their U.S. Citizenship applications. JFS’ team helped attendees navigate the complex process of applying for U.S. Citizenship and answered any questions about the process. The event was a resounding success – we are proud to have been able to provide this important support to our community with the help of our partners.

JFS Immigration & Citizenship Services is committed to working with our partners to provide legal help and other services to those who need it most. Events like these are crucial for building a strong, supportive community that helps everyone on the path toward Citizenship. If you would like to learn more about JFS Immigration & Citizenship or know someone who could benefit from these services, view our flyer.
