SENIOR SERVICES
Jewish Family Services (JFS) provides a wide spectrum of services for senior adults to help individuals remain independent in their communities for as long as they can function safely and effectively with the highest possible quality of life. Aging presents a wide range of challenges and changes. At JFS, we envision a community in which older adults are valued for the wisdom and experience they possess, and for the contributions they have made and continue to make to their families and communities. We are proud to offer programs and services that encourage active older adults to engage in intrinsically meaningful activities; that support adult children of aging parents; and that enable older adults challenged by disability, illness or declining health to live in comfort and dignity. We offer the following programs.
Limited transportation can be arranged on an as need basis to attend senior adult programs in Monroe Township and Highland Park. Jewish Family Services (JFS) is ever mindful of its responsibility to provide information to the public regarding the agency’s obligations under Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Title VI regulations and apprise members of the public of the protections against discrimination afforded them by Title VI. ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) regulations at 49 CFR Part 37.17 and 27.13 require agencies to have specific procedures in place to address complaints alleging ADA violations. To read the JFS ADA Policy and Complaint procedures – Click Here
JFS Middlesex recognizes that disabilities are as diverse as the individuals they serve and recognizes the need to make reasonable modifications to its policies, regarding assistance offered to passengers who may require additional assistance to use its services. Under Title II of the ADA, state and local governments are required to make reasonable modifications to policies, practices and procedures where necessary to avoid discrimination. For those riders who require additional assistance, JFS Middlesex will endeavor to accommodate all reasonable modification requests for such assistance by following procedures outlined HERE
